Hope this helps, you are supposed to be using an adaptor.

he can't use the adapter and needs the fitting that allows a person to screw the filter on directly to the block;) i know they make em. steve, you may have to go out to a wrecking yard and pull 1 outta a 460 and clean/reuse it.
steve, pm paul(lakesonly) and i bet he can get ya the part or part#

If this is what you need, the one that the dealership is trying to sell you has internal threads, and is for the later model engines such as the F250 460's with oil cooler. You should be able to get the early-style ones through Pioneer for a couple of bucks, or I can ship you a used one to your door for about $15 (PM if interested).

that's the 1 paul.i built jetboat's bbf for him and we installed it at my shop, his headers/mounts make the adapter near impossible to get a filter onto, the threaded dealio will cure the issue.
order it steve:D paul knows his chit;)

The OE number was a D9AZ-6890-A which is replaced by a D9AZ-6890-B which is then replaced by a F1AZ-6890-B.
Very much readly available, it is the same as 4.9 better known as the 300-6 :D
Give that a try :D
