Just wondering if anybody has went to aftermarket heads and still has there old ones around they would let go of? I am looking for either stock or aftermarket. It is for a 496 mag. Any suggestions are appreciated I have a small budget so going to the Raylar kit or similar is not an option.

Has anybody done any performance upgrades to thier 496? I am hoping to find some used uncracked cast heads for a gen VI 496.

There was a guy on EBAY selling some HP3 CNC'd heads (525 hp version of the 496 Gen-VII) for $750. They were bare, but already had seats for bigger valves. I keep watching them, as he has re-submitted them about 3 times with no bidders. One could probably end up at around $1200-1400, depending on the hardware you put on / in them.
What happened to your old heads?

Check with the folks at Absolute in LHC, I think they may have some laying around from Raylar installs.....
