OK, I have it... It is fuel, but it is a tank for the bypass fuel to go to from lift pumps bringing it out of the hull tanks. Mechanical pumps probably fill it, while electrical pumps dole out fuel to the logs behind the carbs? That also ensures that rough water doesn't dry the pickups...

The boat was a big hit at the run. It ran really good and looked SPECTACULAR!!
Here's a short video I took while Sean (with the 40' "Lollipops" Skater) and Pybrun were leaving for the run up to St. Augustine. The port motor was having some issues starting but the starboard motor was running (in the video, that is).
