Temecula... Went down for the recall work. They called, said the Edge would interfere with the flash, disco'd it, and then reconnected it after. No grief, great service advisor. They have a great diesel shop...

Have you had any issues with your glowplug not heating up therefor not starting. My buddy has an '05 F250 with the Edge, 3 weeks ago we were in Havisufor the weekend. Sunday morning after breakfast when we came out the truck wouldn't start. He noticed that the glow plug light wasn't coming on. So we unpluggeed the edge and we disconnected the batteries to clear everything. Once we connected them back up the truck fired up. Not sure if it was the edge or ? Have you heard of anyone else having this issue? Thanks

from what ive heard by dealer service managers is that most of them dont care if you have a programmer or ?, but if the truck comes in with typical symptoms of what happens when you run a programmer like head gasket leaks, turbo failure, ect, then ford motor co sends out a rep to investigate and the service manager has no authority. 999 times out of 1000 the investigater voids the warranty. granted 100% of the time the customer did in fact run a programmer and was trying to pull a fast one. its a price you pay for more power on these newer trucks. think of it this way though. you cannot put nitrous on a stock engine and think its going to live. when you install a programmer, you should also add the parts and hardware that normally breaks when you do so. stronger head studs is typical for the 6.0 fords and better turbo's, and thats just scratching the surface. expensive, a pain in the butt, almost not worth it? if your going to go big, go all the way, or roll the dice.
