I lost my favorite beer koozie. It said "river rat" on it. It was bad ass and cost me 99 cents at Food City in Havasu. Damn I miss that thing. It flew out of the boat at about 70mph.:( I have had that thing for 3 yrs and it never missed a trip. E tear. :(

Well, I didn't break anything, but while inspecting and preping the boat, I noticed some type of oily fluid leaking out of my drain plug. Well, it was only my powersteering hose clamp that was loose. Thats why, one always has to go thru the boat before launch.

Found drive oil in the bilge of the starboard motor. The reservoir was empty. Hopefully just a leaky fitting (fingers crossed). Will take a better look tomorrow.

I think I will start a new thread on that later. :D

It was a tough weekend on this end. Went to the funeral of a 20 year old friend on Friday, the result of a car accident earlier in the week.
So it was pretty tame on the water. I broke the top on a dozen Coronaritas over the weekend. No hangovers, played some games with the kids. Had a sad moment when they pulled a game out to play and found Josh's name on one of the old score cards.
Wear your seatbelts. If Josh had been wearing his seatbelt, he could have been on the boat with us on the weekend.

Within 10 min, hit a rock pile at fukin echo bay on lake mead, new labbed 5 blade maximus. put boat on trailer and had a piece of small rebar puncture the center tire on our triple axle trailer. other than that all was well..
Oh yah a great person named Mark who owns a 36 specture took us (4 ppl) for a speed run.. All I can say is WWWOOOOOWWW. ran it up to 115 one way and then 121 the other way. He said he needs a bigger wheel because he's on the rev limiter. Never gone over 90 ( v btm) before and 120(TRUE CAT) is a big difference.

Well I had a very good weekend with the Cole, the only thing I had a small issue with was a little bit of overheating( in the no wake zones) with my boat which i hope to slove this week, should be a easy fix. The boat ran great on the water when I was running her.

On the way home I noticed the trailer was swaying. I slowed down a little then headrd a scrape and then a BAM!!! The hitch pin broke off sending the boat into and under the bumper of the truck. Took out a pretty good chunk of paint on the right front bond seam. Scuffed up the bow from the plastic bumper cover as well. That part will buff out. Hopefully I can get the paint fixed before Fathers Day. :(

Lost about 600 rpm's and 8 mph between Friday and Saturday. We knew it wasn't right so we limped back to the trailer and called it a day early.
I dropped the boat off with Chris at Prestige and he thinks one cylinder is down. I have my fingers crossed that it's a spark plug wire,Fouled plug or perhaps an injector:( :)

Thats funny....I thought I was the only that gets attached to a koozie. I have mine for 13 years and it has never missed a river trip and has had a lot of beers in it. It is funny to see a decade of river pics that have me holding the same damn koozie. Kind of a family member. Wierd!

Got caught up in some wakeboard boat waves and sucked water into the engine locking it up. Got towed back to beach, pulled the plugs got the water out and found out I sheared the dist gear pin. Put in a SS coter pin I just happened to have in the boat and made it back to the dock. New shear pin Monday and back on the water for a full day of FUN :D

Got to the launch ramp at about 2pm friday to go boating with one of my buddies/customers, batteries dead, he left the switch on all. Tried getting a jump start from a guy on the ramp but it wouldn't get enough charge to start. Had to pull the boat back up to the shop, hooked it up to the charger for a few mins, put it on the hose, started right up. disconnected the charger screwed with some other stuff, turned the hose back on, started right up fine on its own. Got back down to the water (about 4pm now) no starty:mad:.
Back up the hill to the shop again, called auto parts but they didn't have that size battery in stock (group 29/30) ended up having to machine the battery hold downs to take the group 24 Deep Cycles we had in stock at the shop. back to the water (almost 5:30 now) After that it all went great, except for cutting the crap out of my feet on those damn clam shells at middle point, my feet are sore today.:(

Quick...which pin broke?
The pin that holds the drop receiver in place. The whole thing slid out. As a quick fix I had to use a 3/8 drive ratchet handle, some tape and zip ties. I got to a Home Depot about 20 miles away and bought two more pins (one for spare). I hand to hammer the ratchet out and then slid the new pin in place.

I was on 99 south between Fresno and Bakersfeild. And I had no crew except my 14 year old son and I. Thank god I know how to "rig" shit to get me off the freeway ;) :D
Glad the damage wasn't any worse.
I was scarred as to what I might find when I went to the back of the truck. I was expecting fiberglass and a messed up tail gate. Luckily neither was the case.
Sucks about the paint though. Not too easy to match it :(

Did'nt really break anything that could'nt be fixed.... My Dad came out for the weekend and likes to drive, so let him. He has not figured out jet always on and he was headed straight for the dock. Calmly told him to reverse and slow down and also nicely side slip for docking. He turned off the key, um no steering, got on the bow to stop it; but got a nice gash in my ankle and rub rail rubber pulled out a little......... :D

My buddies ford 6.0 lost a head gasket on our way to Havi, My daytona lost one of the motors , my buddies boat blew up an imco outdrive. We waited two hours to launch on sat and never got in. so I went to walmart and bought a blow up pool. I think the kids had a better time in that than the boat. Delt with a bunch of knuckle heads but still had a great weekend.

I ran out of gas on sunday and was a good ways away from the boat landing. A friend of mine had a bass boat with 40 hp merc. on it and he pulled me back. It was a 2 1/2 hr ride back:eek: Needless to say, the girlfriend had to drive us back home:messedup: Oh yeah, some a$$hole at the sandbar started laughing at me for being towed. The funny thing was, he didnt even have a boat. He was one of those guys that bums a ride off of other people then walks around with their chest poked out like they own the boat. Its dosent really matter, it just struck a nerve at the time and I wanted to cram his face in the dirt:D

 besides the bank at the gas pumps...
we have the boat here in cali cus of a lil accident
turns out never bring make-up aboard a boat, is a good rule:(
the bottle of make-up fell down where the sub woofers are:( and ripped a hole in one, then:mad: when the bottle broke, it shorted out the amps... and WELL, the dvd monitor isnt working either (darn makeup)
so the boat was in the shop yesterday (HAVI) to fix all the gel coat chips about 5 or six small ones...(ADVANTAGE does a great job matching the paint!!!)
and now the boat is home today in cali :) BUT, will be at AL n EDS in ontario tomorrow :D to fix the stereo stuff
then we will take it back to havi sun...
