Katherine's Landing can be a nightmare. I havent attempted to launch in Mojave since the last time took over an hour. By the time my boat was floating I was homicidal and had flames shooting out my nostrils. It took nearly 2 hrs in line to get the damn boat off the water. Not my idea of a relaxing weekend.
I continue to support the lavish lifestyle of King McCullogh and his empire by willingly providing my $15 to launch at the Marina. The little old men that work the lanes are my heros. They can spot an amatuer immediately and if someone is dicking around too long they make'em pull out of the lane and start over. I know Site 6 is free, but it's not worth it. Windsor is slightly cheaper, but those lines make an impatient bitch crazy too.
Havasu needs a couple more launching options on the AZ side and everyone will be happy....even a psychotic, man-eating bitch like me :)

Nice pics and I'm starting to change my mind about the "Water Version" of Beer Pong...:D
I think the table in the pics might have been officially sanctioned by the ABPA..(American Beer Pong Association)..:D

Trust me, that's not long. If you've ever been to Katherines Landing, you know what I'm talking about. Now the line back paaaast the entrance/pay guard shack at Katherines when you pull off the water...........that's long.........like 2 hours long.  Very much worth a 1 mile trek to a dirt road to Telephone cove. :)

YA! Its Telephone Cove....I actually really liked launching there... if you are by yourself, however, nothing to tie the boat to. because you don't want to beach the boat its too rocky. but it was easy just to hold the boat off while my girlie parked the trailer ;)... yes she launches the boat and parks the trailer :jawdrop: :)
