All,
IÂ’m currently looking at a 24 foot boat with trim tabs on it. I would like to know the pros and cons.

There are no cons......when they're up...they are out of the way.....when they are needed and they are down .....they are priceless....
I would never own a Vee........without them...

No cons. They will help you "tune" the ride. If you find you don't really use them, simply put them in the full up position and forget about them. Most people find they work best when run flat with the bottom of the boat.

What boat is it ? I had a 24' Spectra V-drive , [shallow deadrise] that didn't need tabs .
My current boat is 24' without swimplatform , 24 degree deadrise . It needs tabs if I want to get on plane real fast .
Two engines and a heavy ass :)

I run a set of the Dana Marine HP-1000's on the 29 magic and they are priceless. You can not control the weight wind direction on a boat without em.
