weird noise

it sounds like a high pitch sqeeling noise.the pump and the alternator are not hooked up and it still makes the noise.oil pressure is good to.any ideas wut it could be?a stroked big block chevy.

As suggested above check for vaccum leaks and cut open the oil filter and inspect its contents.
Check the distributor.
Are you getting oil up to the top end?
You may have bad rocker arm and pivot ball if that is the style of valve train you have.
Is there anything on the outside of the engine rubbing? Flywheel or balancer?
Check the crankshaft for excessive thrust clearance.
You may have spun bearings.
12 years on the engine it may be time for a rebuild.

found the problem,its was a vacum leak at the carb.
