This is too easy :D
But now you are here anyway maybe you could help me with a question.
How much space does the prop need from the hull??
Any good advice for the uplining of the strut/ shaft/ drive???

You can barely get a finger between the bottom of the boat and the top edge of the propeller on my boat. But it really depends on alot of other stuff. Such as v-drive location and degree of the strut that you are using

Well, i thank you for your concern, regarding my avatar.
But i'm, and this is no joke, waiting for my dad to butcher one of his Scottish highland bulls.
Then i will make myself a vikinghelmet out of the horns., and do some serious avataring-work.
You see, I'm a viking, complete with it all.
Odd but true!!!!

Boat Guy
You see, it's all about being a bit nuts, under some sort of control.
The guys i hang out with will, i'm sure say, " nothing out of the ordinary here", when i take the virgin ride in my boat, complete with vikinghelmet, cowskin, with THE VIKING written on the side of the boat, something that hopefully will happen in the spring.
I'm even curently having a dude i know make some headers, shaped like cow's horn, of course.
Most people say that it's totally nuts, but i say that it's become some sort of obsession, and a long way thanks to these excelent pages.
But who gives a shit about why's and how's as long as we have fun, and i have great fun, and my rig has'nt even seen water yet.So the expectations for the spring are high.

Did someone mention StripperElla? Gotta love the hook lines to make us look!!
Anyways, most are between 1/4" and 1/2" but I've seen some as far as 1" away. Obviously, you dont want the prop touching the boat under any circumstance such as strut ot shaft flex, and having it too far away, I feel would allow the prop to blow out easier. I have been told "the closer the better"....

The viking. Make sure that the largest size prop your planning on useing will still clear & that it doesn't sit to far back from the strut (3/8" to 1/2")

Well, being as clever as i am,and thats very clever, Einsteinclever type sort of clever.i have made an adjustable strut that will be right behind the prop with a stainless washer and a bronze washer in between.
Good thing about the propsize, didn't think of that.
By the way, how does one change name here, mine should be The Viking.
