What is the least amount of blower overdrive or underdrive you can run with a 110 pump and make the motor run properly(540 inchs,11:1,871)?

Geez I am not a 110 pump guy.
But as long as you go larger return pill.....I know of no limit to back one down on the blower.
As far as overdrive....I have seen 40% on a 110 pump.
Kinda a trick question.
What is it you are trying to do?
A side note...we had a 475 inch motor we used to run a 6/71 20% underdrive to run a 7.50 e.t with no problems.

:D Bondsman,
We are running a 540 in the Kboat with a billet TBS 8-71 driving it at 18 over with a 110 pump. You can probably safely go down to 3 or 4 over and still haul ass with that potato chip you call a boat:D

Thanks guys. I'm trying to de-tune the motor as much as possible and still have the motor run well while I get a handle on the boat.

Dont be afraid to back it down. I always back them way down till guys get a handle on what they have. Go 1 to 1.

Enderle told me I needed to run some blower to get the motor to run well. He said it's hard to bypass that much fuel.

Do you have ports and hats or just hat nozzles? What size are your nozzles, etc. I assume this is alcohol.
And I just discovered the pictures of your boat on the other thread. Very nice. I'd expect that boat and the motor you described as going to have very little blower. Cause they won't let you go faster than 8.

Alcohol-871-Hat nozzles. Haven't decided on nozzles size yet. I would like to keep the RPM's down with maybe a big gear and smaller prop. If it works.

I ran a 500ci 871 hat injected at -7% in a flat ran it in the 9sec class at 6200 motor ran great. did have trouble trying to get it to run at -14% at a race, corrected air was 100 ft in the afternoon. and -50 ft in the morning. the -7% is what I ran in redbluff 2 years ago. good luck I also have a 110 pump
I also set up a bypass off the pump to get ride of some extra fuel before the hat.

Yes. Referred to as a "pump taylor" and it bypasses fuel all the time...making the pump seem smaller to the motor.
