I have never seen one of those before. That is really cool looking. What motor? What year is the boat?

66, I thought it was a 1966, but my earliest snap shot was 1965, so I guess my dad bought it then. The engine is a 425 Buick. He sold it in 1970 or 1971 to a fireman in Orange County.

EricinNv,
That thing is beautiful. Good timing too, as I love that target on the hull and as luck would have it, in 20 min. I'm out the door to pick up a boat I bought last week. A '65 Buck Smith wood deck flattie. It's running a FE Ford. Boat is still owned by the original owner. His kid put some modern graphics down the side of it that I really dont like and next winter I would like to change that.
I'm gonna take some photos of it when I get it home, but I don't have a ****in' clue as far as posting pictures. I've read the how to' a bunch of times that you guys have posted trying to help dumb shits like me, but I still don't get it.
thanks again for the pic. Looks great.

I was just curious if anyone knows what ever happened to Steven's. I think his first name was Al, but I wouldn't swear to it. His shop was in the south bay, and every time someone talks about wood deck boats, his name was is always mentioned first. His stuff was beautiful, as evidence by ericinNv's dads boat pictured on this post.
Anyone know where he is???

Old Rigger,
In reply to your question about Stevens, I called and asked my dad. He "thinks" his shop was in Lynnwood. He reffered to him as "Mr. Stevens" & like his boats, he probably "Stressed, Cracked & Faded away". So much for a straight answer. So what's the status on your Buck Smith flat? If u need help posting a picture, I can walk u through it. It only took me 4 tries.
Dan,
When u get a chance, post another shot of your '66. Would love to see it.
Whats your guys opion of the 66 Lavey in the ***boat classifieds? Good deal?
Eric

Maybe your settings wern't quite right?, don't know about yours but with mine, if you get real close, I have to set it on Portrait or else it will be fuzzy..Even if they don't come out perfect, I just kinda doctor them up until they look good, all I did was brighten up yours.....BTW, my first boat was a Stevens.......
