Well, we are sitting down at site 6 for our evening festivities and i notice some shards (sp) of white glassy stuff in front of me at the edge of the concrete.......................didn't think much of it till a city worker explained a young man dropped off his PWC and it floated away all the while it was running (warm up) about 20-25 feet over on top of an empty boat trailer, the kid swam over and hopped aboard and grabbed the gas hitting the fender which launched him into the air and came down nose first into the concrete barrier and twisting his handle bar while he made contact and losing 2 fingers, took them right off, blood still down there too along with a side mirror. Not a good way to start your weekend that's for sure !! :D

I don't if it is just me, but I don't think that is funny. I hope the best for the kid.

If it was a clean cut, they are already being sewn back on.....painful, but he'll be ok....

The guy just needs to man up.
A staple gun, some duct tape, and he'll be good as new.

This is correct, i didn't mean to make this a funny but deep down i cringe at the thought of losing 2 of my fingers, then i kinda get a chuckle at the same time cause some of these accident are so preventable.......................in excitement and panic this kid jumps on and grabbed the gas and boom he's in the hospital.
Please, no more PWC jokes guys, this is a serious matter !! :D

I lost a finger once. It hurts like crazy and I was 9 years old when it happened so they didn't give me anything for pain except Tylenol. They saved it but the top joint does not fully move. Mine didn't completely fall off but it was flipped backward hanging from the skin which is normally your knuckle.
BTW: Don't let your kids carve pumpkins alone when they are 9.

While moving my flatbed trailer into the backyard yesterday, I dropped the trailer on my pinky finger.
Luckily, it ALSO landed on my foot at the same time, smashed both of them, I have that nice red reminder under the nail. Smarts too.
I was almost that guy, happened in slow motion for me.

When you think about it and all the close calls during ones life, it's amazing you still have all your fingers, let alone all your limbs. Shit happens.

Having had two of my own toes 3/4 of the way removed I can attest to the fact that it is a suckfest. But it realy sounds worse than it is once it has happend. I can post the pics my son took right after they reattached them if you would like:D

I had a friend who had his finger bitten off by a gorrilla at the Houston Zoo when he was three. I remeber my parents telling me about some adult asking him what happened and when he did, the adult got enraged telling the kid to stop being a smart ass.
