i've got a complete 540 for sale carbs to pan. about 45 passes on it. if you want a new one dougans racing engines in mira loma can build you whatever you want. 951-681-1961

I believe that World products sells a decent 540 short block for around 4900 bucks. Check out summit, or jegs.

I have a badass one, but its not a shot block its complete. It pushed my 900 lb ultra 123 mph at 8.80. How much are you looking to spend?

try these guys jeff. a couple of my buddys have bought motors from him and they love them and said they were the most reasonably priced they could find. if you call them they can do whatever changes or upgrades, pistons etc... you want to do.
otherwise if you have seen that orange sprint in jim's shop its a 598 that he said he had build really cheap. i dunno who, you gotta ask him
