Since it was 85 degrees and sunny yesterday, we decided to drop the boat in the water and head over to Avalon with shockwavebd, cdog, and double or nothing. There was no fog and it was flat water to the island and back... Here are a few pics we took.

No need to fix it. Water pipes are self healing up here in winter.

I have a really dumb question. I have never boated in the ocean......if you anchor your boats the way you do, how do you get to the dock??? Do they have little ferries that come pick you up???

Wish I could of joined along. I will be with you all doing the Avalon thing in a couple of weeks. However we did have a great time riding our quads and dirt bikes in 80 degree, blue sky, light breezy day in our beautiful desert. It was a nice change of activity!

Not a dumb question, and yes, a water Taxi will pick you up and deliver you for a fee. BTW, those are pre-set moorings, no need to "anchor".

Blain,
it's obvious that our rides are to small to even get a curtesy call. I guess the Shockwave Family only goes so far. Who would have figured  :yuk:

First to have a "CAMP" one must have UNITY (a sense of FAMILY, belonging, togetherness) There is NO "I" in Shockwave Camp, the ability to trust a family member to make a call, Maybe I need to make a call to Perris for that "Smok'n Deal" I was offered

You know HH, just last month I was talking to the Mrs. about 38cig's ride. I was seriously going to contact him about it but the Mrs. talked me out of it. Sole reason was we still enjoy Havasu area boating and a 38'er is NOT Havasu friendly but I think it is still a sweet deal

Yeah...it's a good deal, but then again, anything is a good deal compared to a sticker-Shockwave!

A CIG bro calling Shockwave people snobby?? wow.. Here's one of my conversations with a typical CIG bro.
ME: Nice run to Catalina today, huh?
CIG BRO: Hey bro, check out my 'Gun out there. It's bitchin'
ME: Nice boat, I'd like to get a Top Gun myself some day when it is in my budget
CIG BRO: Dude, you should keep your Eliminator in the lake
ME: Uh, I actually have a Shockwave
CIG BRO: All those west coast lake boats are the same to me, except for Hallett. They are the best. My buddy has a Hallett.
ME: Ok, see ya later
CIG BRO: Dude, you should sell your Lavey Craft and buy a CIG if you're gonna run in the ocean.
