View Full Version : Issues about CFW

After reading all the posts about the Jets making bad water at CFW, I just wanted to add my 2cts. The idea about have time slots is a good one. How about having a couple of "Water Moniters". One person could be up on the shore watching water conditions. Another person could be on the water where everyone can see them. Using red, yellow and green flags, the shore person can signal the water person when the water is good. When the water person holds up a red flag, that means that means no joy riding allowed, racing taking place. A yellow flag means waiting for water to smooth out. A green flag means RUN! Just an idea, JEThro

Sounds like a good idea, we could do that with radios and a bullhorn. I'm hung up on this bullhorn deal, lol's.

I say send out a "safety boat" with a red flag to signal all boats off the water when the big boys want to run. Then leave that boat out there as a tru safety boat if needed.
Hud, I was wrong. Only in one pic (045). That's me strolling up the road. You obviously like that bullhorn....

Could have always made it easy....and headed for the cove. There was plenty of water in there to run and there definitely be plenty of water on fathers day. The cove is much easier to "police" and have a controlled environment.

And the people that aren't with us And the lovley lake lice ???????? Blast them outta there with a jet nozzle? LOL J/K
I would say maybe rope off the cove and shutdown area (with buoys of course) and launch from the shore in a designated area.

Since I run a slow boat yet still a v-drive. I would be willing to be a flag boat and be happy to volunteer my medical bags for the event on Father's day weekend. Just for precautions.

Smalls, I don't think it is fair to designate "who is or is not With us". New Years day is for anyone that wants to come out. I, more than anyone want to run in smooth water but I understand that sometimes it is not possible. I think people are being a little hard on the "other guys" as we are calling them. They have the same right as we do. I agree it would have been courteous to the race guys if they had hung back and let a few races go off. But, big deal, it was New Years and all the hype of people wanting to run fast gets to everybody, not just the "race guys." Now come Father's Day when the lowly So Cal Yankees come to town, we may need a system to traffic the boats so the Nor Cals can dole out the ass whoopins to the So Cals.
I had a great time meeting people from the boards. Sangerboy drove from Moorpark to see this deal. Looking forward to the next gathering. Listen,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Can you that sound?
That is the sound of Sangster installing the NOS on his boat. :D :D

That is the sound of Sangster installing the NOS on his boat. :D :D Hey JetGu, What I ment was you can put fliers out with times or any other thing youd like. But there are always people on the lake that are not going to be participating in the Fathers day gathering and have ass much right being there as anybody, even those SOCALers eek! So comunicating to them may be a little difficult as it has been in the past oh seven or so years.
If you want good water get out there early! cry

The CP Broke(ignition) and I took the orange boat out right after I trailered the CP and ran a few passess(No Nitrous hooked up yet, was waiting on a fitting) then I saw a few flats putting in the water to run each other so I got the hell outta the way and trailered the orange boat. But, I had alot of fun out there, and did get to run both boats before NYD....

What flats ran the best? The Abyss sounded and looked really nasty. I was up on the hill breaking down my camp when it first launched. Had to look twice, it sounded like it was a blown motor but isn't, very serious piece of machinery.
