It took me over 700 hp to hit 80mph in my 19' hawiian. The owner of this ebay boat is full of shit. But he does have a good looking ride.

wow!!!!! 100mph with log exhaust maybe 115mph, i wonder if it is a money back guarantee if it dosen't do 100mph. nice 75 mph boat though minus the ford motor of course.

Hilarious. 115mph with through transom headers. That means my boat must go like 200 without NOS:) and like 250 with. So full of sh!t his eyes must be brown.

Oh yeah. With the right vornado air cleaner, those heavy v-bottom hawaiians with iron heads and log exhaust will even hit 200mph on ebay pretty easily.
Whos got the calculator to figure out what kinda HP it would really take to push this thing 115, of course assuming the hull would still be driveable at that speed, which I'm sure isn't an issue.:D

If it is also listed on Ebay and not just the local paper it definetly goes at least 100.... Might want to ask the owner if he has listed it on Ebay.

The guy saleing it is at least the 2nd owner.. my best friend built that boat here in clovis. The boat itself is a super nice pieace rebuilt from the ground up. The motor is legit but is a light HP motor it is a big cube motor but was built for reliability more then HP. The boat was built as a pure family boat and to be reliable. He never had a problem 1 with it. I know first hand with 2 people in the boat trying as hard as possible it just pushed 70mph on gps.

the pictures truely do not do justice to the work my friend did.. He built it ground up and it started off in just slightly better condition then mine which was trashed.
after rereading the auction there are a few errors that pop out if anyone is looking at the boat.. "boat recently restored with less then 50 hrs" the boat was completed 4 maybee even 5 years ago. my friend used it constant when he had it.. i'd bet there was a good amount over 50 hours on it when it was sold. 750hp motor is more like 500ish. if i remember right the tanks are 14 gallon not 35 (gunnel tanks) and unless the new owner did pump work the jet is all original never touched except for the addition of a place diverter.
not trying to take away from the seller just pointing out some items. the pics look just how my buddy kept it it truley is a 10 on looks and reliability and is a mid to high 60mph boat in full lake trim with family onboard

Ok, since no one else has said it, I'll state the obvious " The only chance that thing has at hitting 100 mph is behind its tow truck, and that's with a good tail wind".
Before we(my brother and I) built the 565 that finally pushed our CP open bow past 100 we tried for two years with a 710 H.P. 512 Ford w/a 250 hp Nos system. 88 off the bottle and 96 on the button. It could have broken 100 with the small engine ,but we kept running our 9.25 dia American Turbine
A3 (triple A) impeller. At about 950 hp on the button it pulled the A3 to 6,200 rpm's. Should have put an A in it and turned it at 6,500 but it would have over rev'd it a bit. But more than likely it would have surpassed 100 MPH a few years and many thousands of dollars sooner. I would be surprised if that thing could break 80 and that's with a Nos system.

Wrong! There is another scenario. If it was loaded into the bomb bay of a B-52 and dropped from 50,000 feet it would be going at least 115 when it hit the ground. I think that is a better chance than behind the tow truck, and probably better use for what's there at that price. Too bad EBAY attracts shysters like this. RR

Two tanks at 14 gallons each with 500 ponniies? Going to need a bunch of gass cans just to have a few hours of running. My old 235 rude could burn 12 an hour at WOT.

Do these people really believe this 100mph stuff?? Are the speedos off?? Does 60-70 just not sound fast enough?? I know that most average people dont think 70 sounds fast, especially when they are looking at a big racy looking engine, but if trying to sell to somebody that actually knows boats, then they (these sellers) just sound like they're full of sh*t...looks like a really nice boat, so why not just be honest??

100mph or not is a very clean looking boat. Nice engine detail although the distributor looks to be in the wrong place.:D

I got F'ing screwed! I bought my 20' Hawaiian off of ebay and it only went 65.7 on the gps. The seller didn't claim it would do 100 mph, but it was on ebay so it should right? I want a damn refund!

actually i've skied and knee boarded behind that boat a few times the mileage wasn't to bad you could get a days use (6hrs? maybee) out of the tanks and 1/2 a day or so of sking it is a small single carbed deal with logs.
the only way it'd spin 6k rpm is on the trailer dry. I remember it could barely spin 5k and it took all it had and had to be lightend up all the way to crack 70.0

"Real" Thru transom headers would not have an effect on overall speed. Those however are thru transom logs, and they would have a drastic effect on speed.;) I swear, people hear "Jet Boat" and they think that the jets are as fast as an F-18
