View Full Version : dip stick on a 14 quart dooley pan

Can anybody post pics of how there dip stick looks on there motor with the dooley 14 quart pan. I bought a generic dip stick, it's long as hell, ends up right infront of the header port. I was thinking about cutting it way down so that maybe only 6" sticks out of the pan... Was wondering how some of yours look.

I wouldn't cut it that short unless you put a plug in it. Being that short, it runs a chance of sloshing oil right out and into the bilge. I don't have a Dooley but I had the same type of issue. I just used a tubing bender and did some custom routing so the top of the dip stick tube was up even with the lower head bolts.
