I was wondering if anybody had any gear sets between 15% and 20% or any parts for sale for the throughbred v-drives. Will casale gears fit in these units? Thanks for the help.

My first boat in 73 had that V-Drive and they were out of business then, I had a hard time finding gears and parts for it then. Casale gears will not fit either....Good luck........

Pontkid, If you like your hull and your going to keep the boat for a while, its worth upgrading to a new or good used v-drive. There are some new parts available for that v-drive, but not gear sets. I can help you with a used v-drive or a NEW ONE! Tom Bentley 530-885-0531. http://free.***boat.net/ubb/smile.gif

I saw a Casale V-Drive for sale on Dragboats.com for 350.00 I think that was the price. It didn't say what style it was or what kind of shape it was in.
Check out this thread. If you get in touch with the guy mentioned he can steer you to the person that owns all of the NOS parts.
I have one of these in my boat, should be finding out soon if it stays or goes. I have 15% gears in it and a spare set of 22's I think. Also have pretty much a complete extra unit minus the gears. If I decide to replace it with a new unit I'll let you know.
