In my quest looking for an easier way to polish the wheels on my truck and the aluminum steps on my boat trailer I've seen this stuff called Flitz at car shows with the yellow-orange polishing ball that works like magic and is easy to remove since its water, not petroleum based.
My question is, has anyone used this stuff before? Does it work at home like it does at the shows. I've bought plenty of polishes and waxes at the car show only to find out they aren't worth a crap on a body panel that doesn't have a hundred coats of wax on it to begin with.
This stuff is kind of pricey, but hey, if it works like at the shows, it'll be worth it.

Flitz is the best alum, silver, gold, etc polish avail. I have used it for yrs. It is not as abrasive as Semichrome, but does a better job.
Mothers, Meguires, Eagle One polishes are horrible compared to FLitz.

Flitz is a great polish, however it requires a little more elbow grease. I used to use it on the leading edges of airplane wings and the shine would be deep. I really like Heavy Metal polish as it is a cloth impregnated with the chemical so its cleaner and easy to work with. Easiest metal polish I've worked with is called Magic Mix which is a liquid, its easy on and easy off. Good luck!

I use Flitz on stainless steel .44 mag revolver cylinders to remove the black rings and leading. Shines up like brand new when I'm done. If it'll take that stuff off with just a cloth, it should clean your wheels as well.
On my wheels I use Mothers with the powerball on a cordless drill. It works pretty well, but it did leave a few water spots. I didn't think of Flitz...

If your wheels are already clear coated you shouldn't have to keep polishing them, as for your fenders that usually applies as well, however if there is no clear on either I have heard great things about the polish, but i would re-clear both to save the extra work
