Does anyone know who holds the current record? The only thing I could find is lake St Clair in 2004 at 1453 boats! Is that still the record

Rule #1 - you need an anchor and at least two fenders! ;)

 Isn't Lake St Clair in Eastern Michigan? I know it's not "east coast" proper, but it's much more east than west. ;)

Yes it is but I mean EAST coast!! I think the boys and girl all the way over here on the East Coast need to rally and have a big party. We might need some of you pro over here to show us how to

Though it's not technically a "raft up", nothing in the Nation beats this for a floating party IMHO....

Check out jobbienooner.com. Might have a little something for the sandbar @ havasu. Most of the chicks are beat, though.

This is Muscamoot Bay on Lake St. Clair, better known as the Moot. I was there that day and yes they were trying to beat the Guiness Book Record. Still not determined if they did or not, but the record is held on Lake Cumberland I believe. We walked for 3 hours down the "gauntlet" and never reached the end.
It is a party and can compete with Havasu, but as mentioned the talent in havasu may win out.:D

That is not technically on the lake proper. It is up river where there is a big bend called blankenship bend. You can go full throttle around the bend as there is plenty of deep water but obviously to the side is where the sand from the river has been deposited onto the bar over the years. It's like a big beautiful beach in the middle of nowhere.

Madprops.
Go to Chesapeake City on the 30th of this month. There will be at least 500 boats rafted up & it's pretty wild.
