I almost got a serious ass kickin today by one of the Castaic locals, this guy was walkin around givin people the eye, I got sick of it & I said to plaster dave...WTF? Who the F does He think He is??? Dave told me get on with your bad self, go take care of business I'll be right here at the boat if anything happens.
So I get up & walk towards this guy askin him WTF He's lookin at!!!!, & He just keeps on walkin, so I got a little louder & was walkin a little faster, I get about 10 feet away from him & He stops, turns around & is givin me the eye like I'll F'n kill you you skinny piece of SHIT:mad: :mad: ........this guy puffed up like He'd been doin roids for a year straight, He started to charge me......I thought I was gonna die, It scared the hell out of me :sqeyes: I had to make my way back to the boat rather quickly before anything really bad took place........if any of you guys know this prick, tell him the boating scene is not for him & ta stay the F away!:sqeyes:

while some of you are out at Castaic this weekend and since I am not able to join in the fun and relaxation this time around (maybe next weekend huh??) if you believe in any sort of prayer power, please pray for my sister. her name is Laurie and she lives in Ojai. while i am in arizona celebrating the glorious birth of my second grandson, Ryan Mathew :D , my sister went through major surgery. she has been diagnosed with cancer.
is very hard to be extremely happy to being extremely devastated at the same time. what a roller coaster ride. :(

Use the main ramp, go to the right as far as you can go, then all the way to your left.You have to watch out for the police boat,

thanks for the thoughts. they are very much appreciated. got home from arizona today and have not rested or stopped yet! probably should have stayed there to get rest! :D although hard to do with a brand new baby and a 3 year old in the house. still need to set a date to go up to Ojai to see my sister after her surgery. she's still in the hospital and supposed to get her first round of chemo in a day or so. when it rains it pours :(

Been out quite a bit this season. Been to Havasu once, Blythe a few times, BV about 4-6 times and Castaic about 4 times. Would go out during the week since am not working but difficult to do that alone.
The crowd isnt the only reason not heading out today. My gf just got back from a trip to AZ visiting her Daughter and new-born Grandson and she needs to get a little more rest

The ABC TV 7 news reported the lower lake was closed due to attendance already reached maximum capacity by 9:30 a.m. Then the same reporting team went to the east ramp on the big upper lake and showed someone on the launch ramp, boat & trailer half in the water, people just removing the boat cover and a pile of ice chest, towels, duffle bags etc., to still to be loaded prior to launching. What happened to performing the pre-launch loading the boat ritual in the ready area before to heading down the ramp? The lifeguards or Sheriff were not shown on camera. Usally on a weekend they would be on the load speaker barking at these clowns to load in the ready area and to get out of the way. The reporter did say the upper lake was not as crowded as on normal weekends. Hope you all had a good and safe 4th. Possibly, we'll see you on Sunday, 7/8 in the cove about lunch time.

Just so you know....when I got that ticket I was not speeding, I came around the corner with 2 other boats ( family style boats) & went all the way to the dam, made my turn & he turned the lights on.......I was the only dumbass that stoped ( I should've ran from him)
They said they clocked me & only me @ 55........I could have thrown a beer to either boat on either side,the boat on my right was 10 feet in front of me.......the boat on my left I was nose to nose with.

Had a wonderful time on the lake today and was a nice way to enjoy my birthday with friends and family. Was sure nice to see quite a few from here. Enjoyed chatting with Jerry, Dave, Justin and seeing Mike (aka Mr. C). Looking forward to the next trip.
