Has anyone heard of "TOI Boats" out of Colorado? I found what looks like a very interesting V-Drive  project, but the USCG tag says it was built by TOI Boats. I have never heard of them. HELP!!

NO, Never heard of that company. As you probably already know it's a jet hull made into a v-drive. It looks like a nice hull as long as you aren't thinking of over 90 something MPH. TOM..

Thanks for your help guys. I only want a great looking, fast ski-boat. 90 would be great, but if she would do 80-85 I would be happy.

Well, the deal is done. I bought it. Will be bringing it home probably Tues. or Wed. Anyone got any old hardware laying around for adjustable cav. plates? I will need the bar, the pillow blocks, the arm, the rod, and a hand control handle. Let me know if you got some stuff. Thanks!

They are both pretty ratty, but I know he would sell them. One is a '67 and the other a '68. His name is Randy and his phone is (623)853-9431.

Tommy Merrill of El Paso built a V Hull into a V Drive in the mid 1960's and won some rough water races in the southwest. They can be a little flighty at high speeds but should ride real nice up to 70 or so....wish I had found that rig before you did!
