Hello,
I recently bought a '66 hallett flat bottom. The previous owner (who claimed to own it since the early 70's) told me the boat belonged to Nick Barron himself and was named "big bite" It was black at the time and was repainted in the early 70's orange, and renamed "super carrot" One interesting thing about this boat is that it is a right hand drive. It is my understanding that this boat spent most of it's life on clearlake. When I bought it, it had the original L72 427 / 425hp motor in it. That has since been replaced with a nicely prepped 502. Im not looking for any specific info, it just sounds like this boat had an interesting past and thought i'd see if anyone knew of the boat.

I used to spend a lot of time at Clear Lake in the early seventies and don't remember that particular boat. I know "no help":D
