killed in 48 hours. I say do not pull out the troops BUT pull out all the stops and end the rules. Notify all that anyone and everyone will be killed if out after dark. That will cut down on the roadside bombs. Just take a win at all cost attitude finish this thing, then come home.

...I agree, but that would be too easy.

This is what happens when politicians run wars instead of seasoned generals. You can thank the PC left for focking this up good. This is just the beginning of the end for us. If we don't go back to the old ass-kicking USA we are truly doomed to become a socialist pansy-ass nation like France. You guys can call me a kook all you want but it is the truth. We are too worried about offending, playing by the rules, etc. We are focked if we continue down this path.

I agree, war is not pretty, nice or fair.
Our great country lost THOUSANDS of brave soldiers Just getting onto the beaches.
War should be fought to win at any cost, using any means necessary. that is how a war is won.
Turn off the damn cameras, ex-presidents, wannabesomeday presidents,
arm-chair commanders, and reporters and let our skilled military do the mission we set them to.

IMO get the politicians out of it,let the pentagon have unlimited run of the thing and see what happens. Recall in 1991 General Schwarzkopf wanted to finish the thing and Bush sr. pulled him out? Then we are there again in this mess.

Think about this....does anyone really think China has any fear of us as a military force anymore? After watching us botch up the last few conflicts because we are too PC to fight a real war the way it should be faught I suspect they are just gearing up for the show-down with big-ass grins.

Iraq has been fooked since day 1. We really should not have been there in the 1st place.( then again we should have taken care of things in the 1st war)I really don't think we are soing any good there now, Afganisan on the other hand( don't hear much about that country on the news) I beleave we are doing a good thing for that country.
Every one that says we need to be in IRAQ... great why don't you or your kids go sign up( if you or your kids are there now, stay safe.)... too many people out there saying we need to be there, yet they are not willing to go themselfs.
A little history lesson Iraq has been at war in one form or another since civilization started. Its not something we are going to change over night.

I agree, but we can not ever put troops in these deals ever again. The smart bombs and advanced technology I can`t imagine anyone even close to our league. The air attacks in both of these Iraq wars were nothing short of awesome and we have better now.We just can not fight on the ground ever again.

Sorry, but you cannot finish the job without ground troops. We could take care of this if we just quit playing PC police force for the middle east. The troops need their hands untied. Kick some ass and get out fast.

I agree with the first part but I would not be so sure about the second. The libs would love to just walk away and quit Iraq. If a dem gets elected as president, it will happen. I would not call that winning. And I won't even talk about Vietnam.

Whether or not we should be there is kind of immaterial at this point. War is supposed to be brutal, deadly and everything else that we have tried to sanitize out of it. Give control completely to the military, give them an attainable objective and let the people trained to fight do the fighting. There may not be much left for those who survive, but it will be over. The idea that you can go to war against only a country's military is crazy. You go to war with the WHOLE country. Capitulate or be killed.

My grandfather was a tanker for Patton. We need more guys like Patton. Too bad they are more of a history topic than a current event anymore. Pap, as we called my grandfather, was a tough old dude who did not take any shit. Tell it like it is, no PC kind of guy. I wish he was still around. It would be cool to ask him what he thinks of this shit today, but I already know what he would say. RIP.

I wonder if you could actually hear the skilled Generals of the past ...[who actually knew something about conducting a war]......rolling over in their graves....

Gosh, I cant agree with you on this, at least weapon wise, do you remember when this first started and the world was shocked by the weapons we used to destroy the "Republican Guard" in about what, a 2 week period. The problem is just like Nam was where we fight them on their terms instead of unleashing hell like we could, so I guess I agree with half your statement. We have the tecnology, just not the balls!!!! The term "War is Hell" has no meaning in Washington anymore unless you are one of the 3500 soldiers killed in that f---ing hole of a country, God bless our troops, but a bad war:( NSF

Yep, If you are a reading man which I'm not but once in a while i do read, anyway pick up a copy of "What Was Asked of Us' an oral history of the Iraq War by the Soldiers Who are Fighting it. It is mostly 1 or 2 page snipets from guys and girls that served over there, very sobering and sad tales ranging from rage to just sheer pandamonium. So far the gest is that this is and has been a f---ed up war from day one. Riveting reading to say the least, let me know what you think if you read it OK? NSF

I went this week and was prepared I felt,as could have been there and knew those who were there etc. I was not prepared to meet families loved ones who leaned on my shoulder cried and cried. I can tell you of the parents and brothers and sisters and sons and daughters that all confirmed what did we accomplish there? Why did they die? and all were in common on let`s finish this deal in Iraq or they have died for nothing as our loved ones.I had noticed a gal under a tent on the last day of the display and had said hello. I as was walking out stopped to make small talk and she dropped to her knees I mean losing it. I think what did I do or say to upset her so? thinking she may wish to talk just knelt down and waited for some time to give her the time. Eventually it comes out was engaged to a guy on the WALL and had made te journed each day to get the courage up to approach and touch his name. What do you say? as they continued to dismantle the display it came down to her panel and it got worse. I asked her if she wished me to ask them to leave that one up for a bit? or I would walk her up there if wanted a friend. Eventually just sat and cried and I had to leave but so difficult to look back at her on the grass and they are packing her Panel up. As she said I wonder what IF? Let`s not leave this one with relatives asking what did we accomplish?:(

thought was prepared for anything there, what a lesson the mementos pictures, flags, teddy bears, letters. This is the most incredibale experience I have had ever. Just stepping back and looking a 60,000 names in small print people touching it crying I`ll never forget it every man woman and child should see it as I promise it will change how you view life and how you live and maybe what is important.Someone had left a picture of their loved one`s flag draped casket being off loaded from a plane back in the 60`s .That will get you. We live a wonderful life for some.
