Hey Guys,
Thanks for the good words and pic's! And to answer the question YES! I did get the cav plate to do what it is supposed to - I took the info all of ya'll gave me, compiled it and wa lah. Finally got the boat running pretty good on Sunday although as I burned up the fuel that was in it and started to run the av gas it seemed to stutter a bit so I'll probably need to make a few minor adjustments (4 turbos maybe). Anyone up for the 4th? Trying to find a whirl-a-way but Casale wants well over a grand for the setup. My computer's getting sent to the guru's back east today so I won't be able to respond until sometime next week. Thanks to LSR, Rich, Matt, Andy & everyone else for all of their help over the FD weekend. Awesome trip!

Just kicken back this morning trying to remember all the little events
that I involved myself in last weekend,
O.K. that about wore me out !!
I can't say enough about my friends,family and new aquointances<sp>
that I had the pleasure of hang'n with !
Herbert, Stevo, Frankie, Guy, LSR-Scott, Sanger Rich, SMASH, Brett, MR. Morg,
The Charities, Moose's, and our newly adopted family which we met in an
pretty traumatic way, never the less, way cool peep's. Also,my little
camping/boating family. I know I'm missing soo many more but I really
just wanted to say " THANKS " for everything !! You all had a part in
making an unforgetable C.F.W. fathersday, 07'.
If you all could'nt get enough of me, well tonights your chance.
We're racing the #24 lime-green 410 sprint car tonight in Chico.
Racing starts at 6:00 pm, I told my driver that I had a good feeling!!

Rich dont make any excuses because I know preacher is not going to!! These old boys have been racing each other for YEARS and preacher would not have went out there with seven cylinders. We all know preacher is gonna come back and run the piss out of that boat as he always does and RACE anyone, anytime, anywhere and I am quite sure he will be looking for WHITIE:D as it will not be hard to find. Funny thing is I only see the pics. of the same boats racing, Preachers, Whitie, Mike Fry, Where was quick jet and all the other flats and hydros at??

I was there. I made a total of 10 passes throughout the 3 days I was there. Wish I would of gone up earlier in the week for the nicer water.
Oh, and Preacher DID go out there with 7 cylinders. Saw it myself. But a race is a race.

I don't know if he would go out there knowing he had a hurt engine. Probably have to ask him. I did see the aftermath though and I agree with you that it was hurt.

Those old dudes will continue to race each other for years and years to come. Its just part of the good ol' boy syndrome. And I can bet they will be the first ones to help someone out so others can have fun. If you haven't met Bill or Herb I hope you get the chance to. Both are top notch guys.

It happened durring the race, a pushrod came off the rocker arm and there was a hair line crack by the jessel (sp) there are no excuses so why is everyone geting up set, shit happens chill out now back to the pictures. Did anyone see the figure behind the tree acrossed the cove?????:eek:

With all the racing/trailer queen talk...My 36 year-old hydro will run 9.61 @110...period. There are many, many boats that can kick my a**. I'm ok with that. I have about 11k total invested in my boat and I'm happy running the 9.50 class and ski hydro class ocassionally, and driving around at Berryessa. I'll run against Herb knowing that he'll kick my as*. (But he'll USUALLY give me a little bit of a start!) It's just fun running against someone...and I've done the same with Preacher... I really don't care. Now if another flat or hydro that's very heavy (like mine), 460 cubes on gas, unblown with 750's, then that gets me more excited. I'll go out there and if someone wants to pair up...that 's great. But I keep it in perspective and I'm comfortable with where I'm at...don't have anything to prove. But, I'm not going out in rollers and risk anything either.
