I took my 18 foot miller flatbottom out yesterday for the first time. I am an ex jetboat owner and will tell you I will never go back. I cannot believe how much fun I had. I have never driven a v-drive or messed with cavitation plates until yesterday. This boat will scare you silly if you let the plate up at full throttle. I took about 8 different people for a ride and each one was pretty shaken after the ride. =) Also I was out their from 9:00 am until 7:00 pm and I used about 9 gallons of gas! My old jet would have used about 40! Just thought I would share my experience. I am so thrilled about this boat. Oh yea I didn't have any problems with the battery going dead since I don't have an alternator. Think I would like to add one though so I can put in a radio. Cya............Lumpy
