I noticed water leaking thru my bowl from inside the boat yesterday. looks like the caulk pulled loose from a gas spill that sat in the bilge for a couple days (10+ gals) Do I have to pull the bowl off to repair the leak or can I clean it up real good and force silicone inside the hole like it was before?

I know, paint is coming, it is usually under the water line though so not highly visible:idea: I bought it like that BTW... Looks like the boat has been black, then purple, and now red... Whatever as long as I can get to the water and run:D

Pull the bowl and degrease the area. Then wipe down with acetone. After that install the bowl and reseal with marine grade silicone. This will ensure a positive seal. Trust me, you dont want to sink your ride over $6 silicone and a 12 pack's worth of work;)
