Header Burn!

How's this for a little header burn:jawdrop: Anybody else have any burn tattoo's? WARNING:idea: Maybe a little upsetting to some.

My ex girlfriend has one like that if not alittle worse, she was alittle to buzed and would not listen to me and she fell on the header trying to get out of the boat, her arm and side looked like that, she left about a 1/4 in of skin on my header when she fell on it,, it left a really nice scar on her!!!!! we are no longer together!!!!!!!

I've got the remains of one on my calf that's pretty close in size to that one. Maybe just a bit smaller. I'll have it forever I'm sure.

trax what the hell were you doing ...i know it hurts bye the way i have 62 % burn's and it sux'ed take care of them no inf.or it can get bad ..

I've never got a header burn that bad. The biggest was about the size of a silver dollar. I still have a scar or two I can find from 19 years ago from my first boat with OT headers.
I crashed on my dirt bike and slid across the ground and had something that resembled that on my shoulder and forearm.
You need to wash that with peroxide then apply silvadene cream to it and wrap it with non sticking bandages. It will keep it from getting infected and help reduce scaring.

OMG, that takes the cake out of all I have seen. My Dad used to get them on his head alot, but just little ones.

Bobby I feel thier pain, last year during a cam breakin I slipped off a wet fender pad (arm extended for carb adjustment) Got a 3rd degree burn the size of a CD on my right bicept that didn't look nearly that awful !! I Thought I was gonna die from the pain ! I walked next door to the Longs drugs the phamacist almost passed out .Doc says biggest thing they say is to watch out for staph (infection) Good luck Tom

just showed that pic to the wife who is an RN (registered nurse), who says that a burn that deep and that shows dark spots runs a high risk for infection. medical attention should very much be considered.

That is the reason that OT header insurance is so high/ nonexistant. The average header burn payout is $35,000. I had one Chick do a good one on my boat and I woried for a long time about lawsuits. I hope that he is taking acare of that burn, I know how good of a time those are.

Dang that is nasty. My worst one was probably only about 5 square inches.
Seems like these always happen to drunks. At least, I was always loaded whenever it got tagged (never my own boat).

Ouch!!! I feel your pain man! I have a narrow scar on my calf from a few summers ago, but nothing like that.
On the other hand, the girl that came out of my boat(under hard acceleration, flipped right out and over the pipes) last year had a burn worse than that. It covered her whole inner thigh from just below the knee almost to the crotch area. When I pulled her back into the boat, it looked like she had melted wax hanging to her ankle. That was a bad day at the lake. Luckily, we had an EMT at the campground so she received first class care and she didn't file suit against me! It took over two hours of polishing to get the skin off the header when I finally got the nerve up to look at it.
Watch those damn pipes!!!
