March 1st 1989...

I opened my Body Shop.....a week later one of the jobbers gave me a poster to hang on the wall.....A Champion spark plug poster with James Deans picture on it .....I also got the smaller ...explanation poster with the same picture and all the relevent info on that photo......the fact that it was the last picture taken of him with the car he died in.......I still have them. I have gone thru thousands of posters in my shops over the years...and I think this will always be my favorite. ......they are a little worn now, I framed it ...maybe I will get a new one as they are occasionally for sale on E bay.

Thanks ...:D but I retired after 10.....I got real tired of insurance companies ...and aftermarket parts....and the headaches they gave me at the time.....anyone in the business would remember CAPA parts...:D
So I sold it and built a small shop behind my house ....to take care of my core customers ....at my own pace.....Nothing pays like insurance money.....but I like resto's and customs better....

I have a wooden sign with a gun on it.....It says "We Don't Call 911" below the gun. People love it. I sell them now for about 25 bucks each..........

It ended up with me paying the difference in price from CAPA to OEM out of my profits...to keep peace with the customers...
