Are you just looking for a stock motor? I may have one in the next couple of weeks that I will sell pretty cheap.

We have a customer who wants to put an electric motor in our 18' boat. The guy has a house on Lake Mission Viejo. They do not allow any gas powered boats on the lake. So, basically he wants to turn our boat into an electric boat that looks like it would be gas powered. Just something different he can cruise around in and look good doing it. :rollside:
I can set it up without a problem, I just have no idea where to get the components or which components to use.

I have done a lot of research into Duffy, but they manufacture a lot of their own parts. I am looking for a variety of aftermarket parts and where I can get them. So far, no luck. :(

Danny,
You may want to look into either an ETEK or Lynch motor.
We have used the ETEK for some robotic demos and they seem to work great. I know that they are already used in some electric boat applications also.
Try this link:

You might want to try these guys:
Hi Performance Golf Cars

They converted my golf cart to an AC drive, and it works great. They do a lot of stuff for all kinds of electric vehicles, and may be of great help.
