does anybody know the wieght dif. between a 22 and a 21 foot. both boats im looking at are mid 70s era.

A lot!!!! Well thats depending on the layup. The 22, although only a foot longer, is a lot bigger boat.

both are same layup vdrives with big block chevys.i was just wandering hull dry weight.i will be towing behind 5th wheel trailer.found 22 footer i liked. cant find a 21 in my price rang

Not sure exactly but if they are similar layups then the 22 would be substantially heavier as it is a lot bigger (more freeboard) than the 21. Someone will chime in sure with better info though.

The 22 and the 21 are the same boat.. they just extended the height of the transom, and continued the bow up a bit. Obviously the deck is a little different (extended) becuase of it.. I'd bet they would be within 400 lbs of each other when it's all said and done.. I could be wrong on that, but damn how much could a little extra fiber glass weigh?

Have you had a 21 and a 22 next to each other? I'd honestly think the weight difference is more but i could be wrong.

For what its worth - the Schiada website lists the 21' at 3500 lbs, the 22' at 4100 lbs. Assuming Lee's talking apples to apples, you're at 600lbs difference. Honestly I figured it would be less.
