want the break down.....
1 yard of concrete is 80 square feet
so 650 divided bye 80 is 8.125
concrete is about $110
8.125 times 110 = 893.75 just for the concrete...........................
that is plenty of room for shrimp traps and tuna nets.....................

You forgot the prep work, of another $1000.00 with re-barb and the labor to put it all together.
Pavers on the other hand are about $1.50-1.60 a square foot, but it is labor intensive to put them in. Also they will be in a bed of sand, not very condusive for cleaning the boat?

The quote I got, was to prep the side for the concrete as well as lay and float and stamp it. Total for 650 square, get this $2800.00. I just laughed and let the guy be on his merry way. He smirked when he quoted my the price and I knew it was going to be way out of line. You would be surprised how hard it is to find a contractor who will not rip you off or lie to you.

Decomposed Granite. Compacts almost to concrete density, but there is always a little on top. You can not wash it down, and from time time you have to add more because it will wash away when it rains.
It works for some. Hell half my front yard is rock. I hate it. BUt considering what it costs to water out here it is worth it. If you have land it can look nice, but I live in a cracker box and if my neighbor saw it, they would complain to the HOA.

I just poured 8 yards and with concrete, labor and wire mesh it was just under $2K. Right around 600 sq. ft. Went a little thicker so it will hold up to a jacuzzi. ;)

They goofed and managed to do an outdrive service(which I'd done the day before :rolleyes: ) when I asked for an alignment....They stepped right up and said they'd take care of it but the inconvenience for me bites. If I don't do it now I'd have to wait til April when snowbirdies fly home and by then the shops get hammered.
