You would be surprised how often that happens. I've been hunting many times and seen tons of close calls like that. My Dad shot my Grandfather by accident. My Grandfather was flushing quail along a treeline and was flushing opposite the way he told my Dad, when the quail scattered he sprayed my grandfather. Spent the rest of the afternoon pulling bird shot out of his chest and arm. Always laughed our ass off at family gatherings telling that story.
