I totally agree and the bars are right there no driving just walk to the bar and party on. I hope there will be a power tour there again at the end of summer or something to much friggin fun.

Only problem with Yuma for a trip like that is accomodations. Half the people at the regatta already have a place on that strip of water (LL,AHA area) and the others are either coming up from Blythe or down from Parker, last year the turn out was HUGE, if we move it we will lose most everyone. Yuma is on the schedule for Power Tour but not for the CP Regatta. Maybe the boys down at AHA can talk with the chief over at AHA and see if they will allow us to launch at AHA, maybe they could throw a big BBQ and have a beer stand, band, etc.???
Another good location would be the park down at Big River where the Fathers day deal was held, Im thinking an off weekend would be better if we chose that spot.

No big deal, I know of a big gear manufacturing company that will sponsor the regatta and spot the 1500.

I don't think there is an offical regatta, but I can assure you there is going to be a lot of nice iron between Ranchos and Big River that weekend. I know of at least 3 CP's out of Water Wheel.

We were wanting to come down from Havasu and Needles to attend. I agree with Chris that if it were to move to Yuma, we probably wouldn't go. There's still a lot of time, but it would nice to know where it's going to be and on what day so that we can make our plans.

Sleeper, we all meet up at the Sandbar just up river from Aha Quin at about noon. Aha is about 20 miles north of Blythe. Should be a big turn out again this year.

Thanks Chris,
I'll get the boat back from SDPM this week; the engine will go in this weekend. With the new interior in the boat I hope everything fits. Hopefully it will be together and I see you there.

That is a good place to stay, try sunset grill for breakfast.. Get on Cal 95 headed North, about 17-20 miles is AHA, pull in and make your first left and follow the road all way around, there is a store, restaurant and gasoline at AHA if you need anything.
