Do you have to have insurance on your boat to boat legally?
I've been boating for years and been pulled over and all but never been asked for it.
Just see alot of people talkin bout insurance and not sure if it's legal or not...

No such thing as dumb questions... just dumb people that ask questions:D
Lenders will require it if the boat is financed. Not sure if there is a law that requires liability insurance though.

california and arizona does now require boat insurance... not sure about other states.
