I have 1 JL 10w6 in my boat. I built a box to manufacturer specs as far as airspace goes.
Running it with the back 2 channels of my JL 300/4 so it should be getting 150 watts. I've read that the 10W6 like 250-300 watts.
The speaker is dual voice coil and I am currently running the back 2 channels bridged to it. Is this the best setup or should I run the Left speaker out puts to 1 side of the woofer and the Right outputs from the amp to the other?
I can barely hear the thing as it is setup now.

Personally, I would not give that sub anythng less than 300-400 watts.
Having said that, I'd make sure the gains are up and the high pass crossovers are off on that amp. Bridged mono is correct.

You are way underpowering that woofer. If the amp is 1 ohm stable, wire the two voice coils in parallel and run the amp bridged. Otherwise, it is new amp time. Isnt spending money fun?
BTW" If you are going to buy a new amp, get a Class D monoblock. They are really efficient (less power from your battery wasted) and are designed to run subs. You will be able to run the dual voice coils in parallel so the amp will see a two ohm load and give you some bump. :)

Thanks guys.
Kinda figured that I would need to step up to a 500/1 or step down to a different JL 10 that doesn't require as much power.
My original plan was to add another set of 6 x 9 to the boat and run them off the rear channel of that 300/4 and the put in a 500/1 for the sub. Looks like I need to spend $500-600.
Better start collecting cans!

I could count them on one hand.
You can count?

You are correct that the JL amp isnt 1 ohm stable. It is 1.5 ohm stable which is pretty darn good.
1 ohm stable 4 channels are rare but they do exist. I know for a fact that Fosgate, Phoenix Gold, Cadence, and Audiobahn make (or have made) 4 channel amps that are 1 ohm stable per channel. That is not even getting into higher end amps.
But whatever. Ya time to spend some money.
