My quad cab is going away this week for some work, and it got me thinking about other work I want done on it. Doug Thorley is using it to prototype a set of headers for the '07 Hemi, and when it gets back I want to drop it about 2" all around. Anyone know who makes a good lowering kit for the 1500 quad cab?
After they dyno it I'll be either going with a catback system or getting rid of the 55 gallon drum muffler and resonators. Any recommendations on a kit or muffler that doesn't have a drone at freeway speeds?

Spend the money on better rims and tires. Don't lower it. You will never regain your ride back, and it looks gay......:jawdrop:

If I LIFTED it it would look gay, but lowering a couple inches should clean up that huge wheelwell gap, and be easier to get into. It has the factory 20's on it now, and I'll probably wind up replacing those with a set of Foose Ascots (hey, they're free).

Try DJM and MCGaudys.
I don't know much about lowering Dodges but I have used both companies with success on Chevys.
Also I would recomend a Magnaflow Cat back with the Thorley headers.:)

If I ever find the guys that lowered my Excursion a few years ago by stealing the tires and wheels, I'll send 'em your way. :220v: :220v:

I was gonna suggest Grunion...
Once you lower a truck, you will never want a lifted one again. They are just infinitely smoother riding, cooler looking and tow a lot better, without throwing as much debris up on the trailer/boat/car...
I have almost certainly lifted my last tow vehicle. DJM makes a good kit as mentioned before. If you are serious, go check out Air Ride for the real deal drop with lots of utility...

Hotchkis Performance has a nice 2/4 system, coils up front with replacement leaf springs in the rear, sway bars at both ends and specially valved Bilstein shocks. Truck rides and handles awesome.

That's close to what I'm looking for. The front looks more like 3", and I don't really want to take the rear down 4". I do tow with this truck and want to keep just a little rake in it.

Hotchkis makes very cool kits for trucks....Not as low as many but the handling will be superb. (Some times the ride is a tad stiff:) )
If I wanted my truck to handle like a sports car I would do there kit and add the sway bars front and rear.
