I pulled my Olds 455 out and now I have a 427 chevy.The olds had a
three point engine mount on it.The bellhousing had legs on the back
of it which attached to the jet drive.Where can I find the same three
point engine mounts and bellhouse to fit the 427 or do I have to mount
it a different way.

you might try ebay, but if your not on a real tight budget then buy a rail kit

Go rail mount. Makes engine removal very simple and it's the strongest way to mount any engine.

How does a rail mount bolt down to the floor and how do you line the motor
up.

The railkit mounts to the stringers using minimum 1/4 inchX2.5X2.5 angle. I would install these parallel to the tops of the stringers. You level the motor by trimming the bottoms of the motor plates. Try some searches as this has been covered in really good detail in the past.

The "rails" are basically to strips of angle aluminum (mine are 6061 T6 3/8" thick aluminum) and the motor has motor plates bolted to it. The bottoms of the motor plates sit on the rails and aluminum blocks are used to bolt the motor down to the rails.
Here's a pic of mine.

Is your boat your avatar? Tunnel hull? If you had a 3 point mount to start with, where was the front mount attached? How about a pic of where the engine was?

Does somebody have a link to a website or something that sells the rails. I've been looking into investing in them since my current engine mounts are starting to eat into the sides of my stringers. Thanks.

Even though his website aint that great Lightning can make whatever you need at reasonable prices http://www.boatheaders.com/index.htm Or any worthy local boat shop can make them for you.

In that case you would install stringers in the boat. I'm sure there are a few people on the boards that can guide you in doing this. It will involve some fiberglass work.

Keep the driveshaft. Driveshafts are not application specific. Only the driveshaft adapters are.
