I need help identifying my block and heads, scattered the motor this weekend and nothing is salvagable, looking to see what I really had so I can duplicate it thanks:mad:
the numbers are for the block 3916321
and the heads are 3873858

Here ya go!..
Block: 3916321....427.......68......2 or 4 bolt
Heads: 3873858....65-67...rect..CLOSED..396, 427, 109cc chamber

thanks, one head is completely toast, I think the block is unsavable as well, anybody got one , it is a 4 bolt, are those heads good to run and worth anything or should I try something differrent

Well that depends on what you want to do and how much power your looking for and what it's going into???.. But it sounds like you have to start all over so there is a lot of options to go with depending on the application and budget!..

Its going back into my 69 sanger flatty, old motor put out just under 600hp
Like maybe a little more, the block and crank maybe ok will find out tomorrow,and was just wandering if I should find just one head of the same or should I go different, here a pic of what I had

Open chamber heads flow @ 10-15% better, but it all depends on your compression and setup. 858 heads are hard to find and expensive. Is the motor a 427, you will be supprised what a short stroke 427 will do in comparison to a 454. Either one will do the trick:D

Well, sisnce it all has to be rebuilt I'd just get a set of 990's, a lot easier to find!..
