my wifes brother works as a ski patrol at Mountain High, says the conditions are not very good. with no storms in sight until like the 29th and the weather warming up over the next week i can't see them improving.

Straight off their website.....
"100% of the open trails have been groomed and we currently have a 10 inchbase of wet-packed snow with some thin spots. "

You make a good point. If it's looking sloppier than drunk stripper I may push it to the following week.

If you have an old board I'd definitely recommend riding it in those conditions...I have plenty of deep grooves on my board from hitting up Mt. High with a so-called 10" base....more like 10mm maybe!!!
