Do these permanantly lock onto your VIN or can it be released? I have heard that they are forever locked to your computer, but I have a ProComp one for my truck that let me change the tires and I can unlock the programmer if I put the stock code back onto the truck.
Did you do the same to this one?

the stock allison trans auto adjusts to 10% of original tire size
I had 33s on mine and the programmer did help...... the programmer adds trans pressure and hp.
