Just upgraded from a 21 to a 26 and was wondering if I could get some feedback as to what works best in that range. We mainly use the boat at havasu. thanks for any suggestions!

Box anchor at the bow and a stake at the transom. Works wonders at the sand bars if you don't want to beach.

It's there own design check it out (http://www.danamarineproducts.com/store.cfm?CatID=372&group_id=46&CFID=192232&CFTOKEN=12722179) I just don't know how the steel one would hold up and the SS is to expensive.

I'd say thats a variation of the box in triangular form, appears to be chainless also.

I'm amazed at how many anchors really work well when you just put out the right amount of line and a 10' leader of chain.

True, but that's one thing I like about the box anchor. No chain, and you need less scope.

You mean they don't work well when they're straight up and down and you stop feeding out line when it hits the bottom???

Guess not:

You'd think it wouldn't be that big of a deal with an automatic windlass to hold the down button just a bit longer and feed out a little more scope so your anchor would hold. :D :D
