i installed my new shifter bellow and when hook the cable back up check the prop 2 see if it would lock up in gear forward it did reverse it didnt it sounds like it is going to but just free wheels is this normal or do i need to adjust the cable some how thanks

Put it in the water and give it a try. They act different with some resistance on the prop. Its not uncommon to have to fine tune the cable on the water.

The cable needs to be properly adjusted before you take it to the lake. Shift it into forward, ratate the prop counter clockwise and it should lock. Do the opposite for reverse. I reccomend having someone with experience adjust it for you.
