drag boat shoot out

I have been working on this for some time.
I got an e mail monday asking me if I wanted to have a race on sept. 8-9 2007
Its just a shoot out , but its a start for us in Southern Ohio.
We need 10- 15 boats to get this show going.
We have a time slot of 4hrs a day for two days to put on a good show for Hamilton River Days.
Anyone intrested please contact me. there also will be local tv crew there so that might help us out alot to bring back boat racing so let me know as soon as possible its right around the corner..

Good luck, I really hope you can get something going. Our sport needs more local events to raise awareness and to promote dragboat racing.
I'd consider it, but that's the weekend of the SLDBA race in New Athens, IL.

Checked mapquest for Hamilton, OH and there wre 2 listings. Which one are you? One was close to Cincinnati and the other was more towards Columbus. Like Sanger 455 said I might be able to attend if the water is smooth enough for a hydro.

the water should not be bad it will be on the great miami river .
there will be no pleasure boats aloud on the river!

the city is putting a 20 boat max limit
this will be the first race in hamilton ever.
there are other events going on that day too like comp. water sking

I may be interested in this. Will there be rescue there? Is there a pit area? What kind of cost? Hopefully this will come together. This would be like in my back yard compared to how far I tow.

butler county rescue will be there .
i will try to take pics of the river and post them soon.

This is the same weekend as the Hot Boat bash in Big Rapids Mich, everyone from around here is headed up north that weekend. Otherwise, you could get maybe 10 boats to come down. Also the SLDBA race so there's another conflict. I'd really like to race closer to home than Missouri, if this becomes a real deal next year you can count me in for sure. Hope you can get it going.
