Havasu Doug did ours for the Duffy. Name and numbers. Had them the next day and even came out and installed them at Back Bay before we had the christening ceremony. Really good job on the vinyl too!!! :D :D :D

I had checked with Doug - He can't make the numbers big enough - They need to be at least 18" tall.....

I don't do any CNC.. My buddy Pat across the street did the top plate for me and the clamp that captures the pole. Also becuase of the size of the base plate he squared it for me and drilled 4 holes in it. Pretty much everything else I did on a manual machine (collar, radiuses on base plate, surfacing of everything etc..)

That looks awesome. What a pain in the balls that must have been. I am sure just before you started the wind kicked up to help you out in applying them. I have a 24" plotter but have not been able to service the people I have now. Unfortunately, My real job really cuts into my side job time. Your graphics look great though.

I have a 50" plotter, but I only cut 30" vinyl on it. Its just easier to manage then 48" and rarely do I need a 48" slab of vinyl.
The brease did kick up, but the hard part was the dew....as soon as the sun went down, the boat was dripping wet and would get wet again right after you dried it off.
I never intended to do business with my plotter...I just bought it to make stickers for the sponsors of the circle boat team. It was cheaper to buy one and do it myself then to keep paying someone else to do it every race. This was my first paying gig. I've even surprised myself with the results. Thanks again for the comments.

I got gregs numbers on his boat. They turned out great....then he let me tag along for a practice run out newport harbor.
That was my first time out in the open ocean like that (i grew up boating on the colorado river)...man, that was amazing....lots of fun....jumping 4' swells in a 32' boat isnt like hitting wakes in a 18 foot jetboat.
Thanks again greg for letting me tag along and good luck to you guys on saturday.
I will post some pics tomorrow.
