Who uses what on their dog? I have an Italian Mastiff aka Cane Corso and need to start him on something. What is better Frontline, Advantage, K-9 Advantix? I'm looking for something I can just put on my dog once a month or whatever.
Thanks,
James

I've got Shepherds and Advantage is the way to go! We've tried Frontline and it seemed to do nothing at all. Good Luck!

BEAUTIFUL DOGS JBB!!!!
I have used both Frontline & Advantage and I prefer the Frontline as well. I have Shepherds, Queenslands & a Rott and we are very much in the country where its thick with both ticks and flea's.

We have always used k9 Advantix, we like that it has the mosquito repelent in it for the summer time.

Don't forget you also need to treat your house and yard for fleas and ticks, other wise you will never get them under control.

We use Revolution. At one time it was the only one out there that was for fleas & ticks and also a heart worm preventative. Even though we use the revolution, after bringing our dogs home from a new groomer we noticed some fleas on them so our vet gave us some Capstar pills and it took care of the problem. Capstar will kill every flea on them within 24hrs.

K-9 Advantix. Not a tick or a flea since.

With my dog Dante, we go to the dog park in Riverside usually 3 or 4 nights a week but never really has fleas. I've noticed more and more he has been biting his butt so he probably has some.

How do you post the actual pictures instead of just the links, haven't figured that one out yet.

Stacy's mom turned me onto this Mink Oil shampoo. (She sells mink oil products)
If they have alot of fleas, it'll take some time to get rid of them all, but after you start bathing your dog with this stuff, sooner or later the fleas just go away.
I give Neva a bath every 3 - 4 weeks, and zero fleas for the last few years.
On one note though, if your dog does have a bunch of fleas, I'd give them a bath 1st, then throw frontline, or advantage on them, then give them a bath again with the mink oil like a week later. Once your on the month or so baths with the mink oil. fleas are pretty much a thing of the past..
Really helps with shedding too!

We use Frontline on our Jack Russell Terrier.
Our Vet said that other off brands do absolutely nothing for the fleas and to stick with Frontline, so we did and it works.
Good Luck
