Well... the dew point has been up over 60* here in T-town the last few days. This afternoon we got the first real good set of thunderstorms of the season. The moisture is slowly making it's way west it seems. A couple more days of warm weather and we'll be set till September some time.

As far as weather. Last night we were getting rocked with lightning and thunder from 1am to 4:30am with alot of rain. As Rob/TAF and I drove back from Phil Bergerons at about 9:30pm we saw the storm coming from the south. Rob predicted the storm to hit Queen Creek at 1am and it did. Good Call Rob.
Updates to follow later this evening.

So far, no storms to speak of in Havasu yet this summer. Was mostly cloudy this morning then the skys opened up to sunny weather and 105F today. I'm hoping to get some new lightning shots if the storms ever get here again.

did anyone else get any photos of the storm Sat night?
You can check out some great shots that we got on Wunderground.com, we were out there from Parker dam back up to Uncle Kenny's parking lot, got some great shots. You will like the one with the lightening bolts blasting behind the American flag. I think you will like the bridge and boat shots to.
A buddy of mine is a pro and we went with him last night and helped in set up and chasing. He got a good 40+ shots..

Nothing showed up here. Tonight was all dry also. How about you anything up by you toinght?
I was down in Parker all day today and it looks like it was going to do something but never did. Not a drop of rain today in parker or havasu. I did see very very distant lightning to the east of my driving from parker to my home in Havasu. Had to be over 80 miles away. Just mostly cloudy outside at the moment and 95F degrees.

We were going to try something today, got some RainX and were going to clean the lens with it then use a can of compressed air to blast the drops off the lens from time to time but did not get the chance to try it out to see if it will work....
We went back out today waiting for that cell from Seligman to get to town, it petered out before it got to Kingman. We were in Havi for a few hours then decided to drive back to the Pilot station by the 40 to wait it out to see where it was heading, ended up nothing...... did you see the bolts just north east of Phoenix earlier today, wow was it banging on wunderground. Suposed to get active again sometime monday through wednesday...:jawdrop:

Update
As of yesterday I spoke with Phil Bergeron and he tells me the man holes in street were floating. Several cracks on Country club Rd. and Mcellen. This occured in Mesa AZ.
Queen Creek AZ. As I came home tonight I saw that my trash can was tipped over due to high winds. All my solar lighting was tilted over also.

I came home from work Monday and Country club and most of the roads in the area were literally a river with a solid 6 inches of water in the center of the roads. People were hydro-planing off the freeway on the way home. It was crazy. I drove to the store going west on McLellan and the sewers were so full that there were geysers shooting out of the sewer caps. I had never seen anything like it.

With today being the exception as it rained lightly all morning, every other day has been awesome. The only thunderstorm threats have been late in the day, with the entire rest of the day being fantastic. Not overly hot, and very little wind.

sure buddy no prob. Love giving the weather reports. Here in Havasu at 5:30pm Thurs it's pretty quiet. 105F Dew 60F No signs of any t-storms today or yesterday. Looks like the monsoon weather pattern is going to change this weekend and moisture will be pushed more towards Phoenix.
This years monsoon in Havasu has been by far the weakest since I've been living here. Only one decent t-storm and that's it

I just saw some pics of the lake lately. I can't believe how low it has gotten. I here they are having problems with filtering the water because in is more concentrated with algee and such.

It is scary low especially since I am used to going out on the lake back in the day when it was close to full (within 25-30 feet from full or so) I was talking to a friend yesterday and he says there is nothing wrong with the lake, He goes out on it all the time. True it is a huge lake but everytime I go by it and see water lines on the mountains I can't but help think WOW what will it look like in a two years without a ton of snow and rain :(

Here it is. I will make the first update here in Queen Creek, AZ and hope to get this going again. If anyone else has any weather info. from there location please post it up. It's nice to know how Hot/Cold it is right in front of your house instead of broad information of that area. Oh and Pics are a must if you can, Lightning, Rain, Sunshine, Clouds, Floods, and whatever else you have in mind.
