I need a bigger boat and the COLE is just too small for my family. So, she needs a great home. Let me start by saying, this is a very nice and very clean boat.I cant stress enough how well taken care of its been treated. The boat is a 1988 COLE Star Fire T-deck. She can sit 4 adults just fine or 2 adults and 4 kids. I am the 4th owner of the boat and I have done a few things too her since I have had her, almost a year now.She is a turn key boat, you dont need anything. The gel coat on her is perfect, with just a few small nicks in her.The interior is also perfect, no rips or cracks at all. The carpet is in good shape and still has life left in her.It has a small missing piece along the hull on the drivers side which is not a big deal, its not where you can really see it and its not that big. The boat has a Chrysler 440 with Reward headers(water)and a purple cam in her.The motor is very stock with a small Edelbrock rise intake manifold. The Carb is a Holly 4 barrel. She also has a MSD coil and other small misc high performance parts. The motor sits on a very nice rail kit so if you wanted to change out the motor too a FORD or Chevy, its a piece of cake.It has two tanks on her which hold about 22 gallons of fuel. Their is lots of chrome and overall a stock 440 with a few small upgrades. The boat has a fresh rebuilt Berkley 12JG split bowl pump with a NEW Aluminum A impeller manual place diverter (jet o vator) to give you a nice rooster tail. Also, is a very nice ride plate. This has one weekend on the rebuild. All water plumbing is brand new and let me tell you she runs cool and you wont ever have any problems with overheating. I had a hand valve placed under the seat so you can controll the water flow too the headers without getting burned. I havent done anything else to the boat because she doesnt need anything. My Only plans are to replace the distributor with a better one and thats it. I am willing to take off $250 if you want to buy your own or plan on putting a Chevy in this or a FORD? This is a full stringered boat. All work was done by Tom at Jet Boat Performance and you can call him for a reference if you want one.
The trailer is a Donell tandam with centerline wheels, chrome fenders and a removable tounge. I can tell you right now, it will fit in just about any garage. Its 18 feet long. Everything works on it and the only thing she needs is two bolts to hold the bunks to the frame. This is being pickey and its two bolts on two seperate bunks. I havent replaced them because its only one bolt on a bunk which has plenty of other bolts. The tires are in great shape and have plenty of life in them. I have two connections for a flat pin on big round hook up.
I am selling to buy an open bow jet boat, so the only trade I will do is for a nice open bow jet boat. I am asking $7,000..FIRM. If you want $250 off replace the distributor yourself and thats all I can do. I might part with the motor for a decent offer or sell just the boat no motor with a good offer.

I've gotten to know the last three owners of this boat. All of which have been really cool people and know how to take care of this boat! This boat is solid, it performs and rides like a dream.

The boat is sweet. I'm very interested. What's the boat run mph wise? Also being that I live in Ohio if I bought it it would be sight unseen. And would have to find some type of transportation for it. Could you please pm me your number and we could further discuss the boat? Thanks, Denny

Denny,
I dont know on MPH wise, I have never had it full speed before? It has a fresh pump now and i am going to place a new distributor in her and make it run even smoother so we will see. I am willing to work a deal on transportation for a fee or just help you out locating one? I sent you a bunch of pics to your email, did you get them. Ask anoyone in the just jets section on the AVI pictures thread about the COLE, everyone will give you thumbs up on this ride sight unseen!

I remember this boat before Mike owned it and came ever so close to buying it, i still love the looks of this Cole boat..............i can vouch that this boat is clean and a show stopper with it's color scheme, believe me when i say clean cause i don't mess around with ugly boats......................this would look bitchen in Ohio and people would be like "bitchen boat dude" :D
Mike needs a family cruiser and thats why he's selling the Cole, not cause he wants to but needs to.

Would you rather have a Chevy Or a Ford? And you almost bought an Olds boat...
Lol just givin yah shiat. 440 run strong, real stron. And they don't have oiling issues, and in my experience can make more power easiar than a Chevy and Ford, of course I'm gonna get backlashed for that:D

No issue with Chryslers at all. Actually, almost prefer them (I like to be different). But, after looking at the other boat, I ran across a bare 454 block here in Montana. Been awhile since I built a motor, and thought it would make a good winter project. But, with some heads, intake, carb...that 440 could scream!
Such a sweet boat. The exact color choices I would personally pick. Same with interior. Still VERY interested! Even if it means a long commute!

These boats kick ass!
They are a fast hull, same as a Hondo. Capable of over 100mph, which is damn impressive for a Jet!
Especially over chop they can haul ass. About a foot of chop you can keep your foot in it and feel safe and comfortable.
With that new pump you can probably stick a few more ponies in her! I know what I would do if I had the money, stick this blower I got layin around with no 440 to bolt it on:D

You are exactly right, they are very nimble and quick. Nothing like any other boat out there except the Hondo. Light, very light and very easy to get up on plain. I even have a nice ride plate on her.

That is what I wanted to do with it had I kept it. This hull is sound and a freaking blast to drive. While it will blow through the chop it would rather be on wind chop, just enough to give it some grip. Great boat, if I had the room I would have never sold it. The nicks in the starboard side are from the Naci docks. Picking up some newbies and when they stepped in it sunk the back of the boat underneath the dock and wamoo!

Tom did not put that stuff one when he built the motor? How fast is she running with the new pump and motor? Did you ever adjust the ride plate?

When we built the 2nd motor we just took everything off the old motor and didnt rebuild anything. It was running fine. Tom has done the following too the boat:
All new plumbing with hand valve under the drivers seat
New rebuilt pump with new A impeller
New/used 440 ( solid used motor)
The havent GPS'ed the boat with the new pump, BUT i will when i get the new distributor in her this week and I know it will freaking move!

As of right now, it did not sell. A ton of interested people, not one single person has ever come too see the boat in person. I am having the carb rebuilt now for the hell of it and i just got my new plug wires and NEW distributor. I also am adding a new fuel filter/water trap. Honestly. If i invest anymore cash after this i am going to raise the price, FOCK it.

The boat is a 18", nice and not heavy at all. Honestly its a clean boat. I am asking $7,000 firm. I am not going any lower, espically after seeing the COLE on ebat go for $10,000 and it was WAY too freaking colorfull, looked very 1980's. I want to upgrade to a 21 foot Bahner open bow and need the cash. Come on guys, someone must want a nice freaking boat.
