If I were to every buy a production boat, it would be a Cobalt. My dad bought a new Cobalt back in the 70's & it's still running around today. Great price on a quality boat.

I forgot about that:D I guess I was pimping too hard on that one and deserved the razzing:D I already have a few peeps looking this weekend and have already turned down one offer. This price range is a little easier sell I think. We'll see.
Open to trades too. I think we would get more use out of a nice Toyhauler in the 27-32 foot range if anyone has one.

When my Cheetah attained 2 long cracks in it the marine surveyor came out and totaled it, he said they where cheaply made............i asked him who makes a good boat ? his reply........"Cobalt" very solid and well built !! :D

What is the top speed?
I've never GPS it but the boat test on line tested 54.7 on radar and that is about what my speedo reads on the top end. The boat planes out very fast and level with the Bravo3.

We still have our MV property and will buy another boat when Mead comes back up. The ramp at South Cove is focked now and will be worse next year, per NPS. With me working so many hours I need a base-camp at the lake. The trips from home are too much work and I don't like the crowds on the local lakes. So, we are taking off a season or two until things change.

How did it do at Powell a few weeks ago? I saw a ton of those up there over the 4th of July.
It did great in the narrows. Just trimmed it down and it cut through nicely. Never got wet, even passing the tour boat just north of AP.
We were loaded heavy (camped out) and we were running high 40's in the smooth water without much problem.
Yes, there were tons of Cobalts out there. I was keeping an eye out for you but never saw you guys.

Delivered her today to a real cool family from Colorado. They are taking her down to Parker and Havasu this weekend. If you see them congratulate them (Tom is his name). They are stoked. Got full price if anyone was curious.
