I just finished the paint on this new 30ft Liberator. The silver is flake. Awesome interior, $13,000! 2000watt stereo, twin Merc 300xs outboards, full mfront cabin. I can't wait to get this rigged. I'll start next week. I hope I can use it before I sell it. Gonna be fun!

Here's the interior. It has carbon fiber seat backs. This was set up in another boat, so no cabin pics yet.

Fricken nice. I am really digging everything about that.. keep up the good work.
What does your 30 weigh rigged?
What will be the top speed with twins? Round estimate.
What is the White, silver and red going to cost when finished?

The boat started off life as a 28' Skater in Miami FL. Lightning Performance or what ever they called themselves, stretched the 28' Skater. They lost interest, hint $$$$, and could not finish it.
Mr. Adams, owner of Liberator boats, purchased it and finished it.
They claim light weight, but that is how Liberator builds their little 21' boats but I do not think one can build a boat this size and have it last by building it with the same methods as a 21'er.

Strong words there Mr.
Why do you think that?

Strong words?
That is the truth that Mr. Adams says himself.
Are you unaware of Liberator boats? He makes no bones about where he got the boat. He makes no claims of designing the boat, just finishing it and building it.
Do you not see the resemblance to the 28' Skater?

I wonder if it has a porpoising problem too then.

Probably depends on whether or not you order it with or without the training wheel. (center pod) Besides everyone already knows that if the Spectre is porpoising you just are not driving fast enough. At 100 it is on rails and takes a mean set in the high 80's :D

I thought the porpoising issues were with the 32 not the 30?

The new 32' is suppose to be a good boat.
The 30 (inboard) and 36 have a hip hop problem.

The 30 with twin ob's have a good hop to them between 55-60 and 80 luckily it only takes a few seconds to drive through the hop ;) And if you want to run between 55 and 80 you just need to work the trim :D

yup, the 30 outboard has that same hop...man I sure hate those two frickin' hops my boat takes while getting up to speed--I can hardly stand it, maybe I should sell
just a question--with the exception of the new 32' Spectre that is supposed to be porpoise-free (I haven't driven one) how many TRUE TUNNELS can you name that DON'T porpoise? I'm betting....ZERO :D 28 Skater, yep--32, yep--
36, yep--40, yep. Pretty much all "real" cats do it...BFD.

The 36' Skater has zero porpoise. The 32' Skater with certain setups, hops 60-80, the 28' Skater has a hop from 60-80, but they are not as bad as the 36' Spectre. Never seen a 30' Outboard Spectre run but saw an inboard and it was all over the place under 100.
No one said sell, it is just a range of speed. One can always drive thru or around the hop.

Not trying to Hi-jack this thread but I am looking at an older 30' Spectre w/ brovo's, will they hop even w/ a tunnel tab?

36' Skaters I've been around seem to have that same hop--70-90 or so, I would imagine setup has some effect. The 36' Spectre we run hops between 70 and 100, thats 4 hops at neutral trim and 3/4 throttles  with 900's and 6's...probably worse and more annoying with smaller power
My outboard 30 with normal fuel and passenger load is 3 hops between 55 and 75/80. No tunnel tab, no tricks 1/2-3/4 throttle trimming positive as speed picks up. Admittedly, with 5 people and full tanks on flat water the boat basically will not drive through it. Lesson learned, don't fill the tanks or run it slow until its burned some fuel off--or throw somebody overboard :D

I've been out of town. Just got back. The boat has the 30 Spectre bottom, but a center pod was added tp help with the hop and make it easier to put tripple outboards or a single I/O on. The top is very different. The cockpit is over 7ft wide and there's about 5ft between the front and rear seats. There's also a fiberglass windscreen. I also put a flat floor in the rear area where the I/O's would go, making it 4'8"x8'6". It also has a very large fully upholstered front cabin. The hydraulic rear hatches are padded and 7'2"x 43". This is the first outboard rigged one. I rode in a single I/O powered one at 78 mph on flat water and it had zero hop. The center sponson is 10"-12" higher than the outsides, so it should'nt cause too much drag. I'm thinking it should run around 100mph with a pair of 300XS Mercs. It has a ton of custom stuff. It will be around $140,000 on a 10,000 lb. aluminum trailer. I'll post pics as I rig it. Thanx, WILDMAN

Yup, sure have. I'm the only Liberator dealer other than the factory. I think I would know! My 21's have an extra layer of glass and the hulls weigh 1350 lbs. That's not very light. I just finished this one last week with a single 300xs and ran 106.4. It's all it the setup.
I only buy the bare hulls. The rigging, paintjobs, and setups are all done by me. I have no employees.

its coming along real nice :D can't wait to see it run...
I think your 100MPH guess with twin XS' is right on the money Randy, pretty much any day with any load...light fuel and one person on board prob 104-106
1.5"-1.75" above the bottom --15X32 3-blade cleavers  spin them out...

The post was quoted from boatless. It was meant to be read by him. After his all knowing self told us it was a 28 skater bottom that was stretched. I was making no comment on how they are built . Nice paint by the way on the 30! Looks good :D
